Neutral Boundaries

This series of paintings explores the idea of borders and boundaries both physical and human nature. The fences of the rural landscape act as a symbol for establishing boundaries in relationships with persons in our lives. Closed and opened fences reflect on the many aspects of our relationships whereby we sometimes need to build fences between others and ourselves in order to protect our own personal development. Or to open up and remove boundaries that inhibit us from enjoying full and healthy relationships with others.
